Categories
Categories group products for the cashier's product grid and for your category reports. They are shared by every branch.
- Click Categories, then New category.
- Type the Name.
- Set Sort — lower numbers come first in the cashier's category bar.
- Leave Show in POS (cashier) ticked for a normal category. Untick it to make an add-on-only category: it disappears from the category bar and product grid, but stays available as a source of add-ons.
- Click OK. The list shows Shown or Add-on only in the Show in POS column.
Build your add-on categories — toppings, sauces — before you switch add-ons on for a product, because the product form asks you to pick from existing categories.
